The PARLR journey began outside my dorm during my college years at Hofstra University in 2010. One night while stuck inside during a huge blizzard, I picked up a camera for the first time ever. At 19 years old, I had no idea how impactful this first shoot would be on my career. I did makeup and hair on my friends Nicole and Katy, and using my friend Charlie’s camera, I took photos of my friends in the snow. I felt something spark inside of me when I took these photos, something powerful. From that moment I was sent on a fierce eight-year mission to pursue my dream.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: PARLR. After that night in the blizzard, I worked anywhere I possibly could. I made portable studios in my dorm, rented the basement of a fraternity house, worked for a celebrity stylist, Alexa Winner, and drove all over NYC in my 1997 Saab to find unique shooting locations.That crazy adventure eventually led me back to my hometown of Framingham, where my shoots took place in the garage of my parent’s house. I then upgraded to renting a 300 square foot space right across the hall from what would eventually become Beauty PaRLR and RLR Studio, a 2,500 square foot space.
